You know, I think It's high time I do a Top 10 list. I think the first list I will do will be my list of 'Itys'. Why, you ask? Because I was writing a comment on a friend's Myspace profile, and my creative muse got an erection, or something. So here goes:

Jason's Top 10 'Itys'

10. POPULARITY: Breeds contempt. A line from a popular Culture Club song, therefore indicative of some profound significance.

09. FRATERNITY: A social [dis]-organization of human males. Mostly (but not always) the refuge of guys desperately needing to fit in and/or of the belief that a meaningless collection of greek letters will get them laid more often.

08. SORORITY: A social [dis]-organization of human females. Also, a valid descriptor for most predominately gay neighborhoods.

07. SENIORITY: An excuse. Often relied upon by those lacking a logical justification for their role as the one calling the shots.

06. ETERNITY: A fragrance by Calvin Klein. Also, the amount of time it will take for most people to have their cake and eat it too.

05. REGULARITY: An elusive nirvana for those who don't get enough fiber in their diet. Also, a quality considered vital by most gay men for a potential mate to possess.

04. NORMALITY: A concept whose definition nobody will ever agree upon. Except physicists, who seem to agree on very little else.

03. MORALITY: Another concept whose definition nobody will ever agree upon. Except Christian Fundamentalists, who seem to agree they are the ones chosen by God to define it for everybody else.

02. SANITY: The playground of an unexplored mind. And a pretty bleak place to be, given that most playground instruments are symbolic of the futility of human existence. Slidey-chutes, jungle-gyms, see-saws, swing-sets? Back and forth. Up and down...Christ, Nietzsche must have come up with his philosophy while sitting on the merry-go-round.

...and the No. 01. 'Ity' of them all:

01. HUMANITY: A terminal condition that—no matter how many books he writes—Dr. Phil is never going to cure.
